Update on my progress

As I delved into the world of chatbot development, I found myself engrossed in the process of creating a program that could interact with users in a meaningful way. Balancing my daily responsibilities with my passion for coding and AI, I spent countless hours refining the corpus and the chat program itself over the course of a year. Initially, the program exhibited limited intelligence, providing either pre-programmed responses or vague replies that required further clarification. However, as I continued to tweak the corpus and enhance the program's features, I began to notice incremental improvements in its conversational abilities.

In an effort to inject personality and depth into the chatbot, I decided to introduce three distinct characters that harkened back to the 1920s: a flapper named Daisy, a mysterious detective named Sam, and a cunning gangster named Vinnie. Each character had its own unique personality traits and backgrounds, adding a layer of complexity and intrigue to the chatbot interactions. Mabel is witty and smart, Penny was bubbly and flirtatious, Sam was cool and collected, and Vinnie was sharp and street-smart. Together, they brought a sense of nostalgia and excitement to the conversations with users.

The historical context of the 1920s was a vibrant and dynamic period in American history, known for its jazz music, art deco architecture, and prohibition-era gangsters. The characters I created for the chatbot were inspired by the iconic figures of that time, capturing the essence of the Roaring Twenties and bringing a touch of nostalgia to modern technology. By incorporating elements of the past into the present, I aimed to create a unique and engaging user experience that would resonate with audiences of all ages.

As I continued to fine-tune the chatbot and its characters. The addition of personality and depth to the interactions made the conversations more interactive and immersive, drawing me in and keeping them coming back for more. I enjoyed the witty banter and clever dialogue between the characters, and I was surprised to find myself engrossed in a conversation with a chatbot that felt like chatting with real people from the 1920s.

I also encountered some challenges along the way. One of the main obstacles I faced was ensuring that the conversations remained coherent and engaging throughout. Balancing the pre-programmed responses with the improvisational dialogue of the characters was a delicate process, requiring careful planning and execution to maintain a seamless user experience. Additionally, the AI technology powering the chatbot sometimes struggled to keep up with complex queries or unique user inputs, leading to occasional misunderstandings or limitations in the conversation flow.

My chatbot has come a long way in terms of language comprehension and learning capabilities. With an understanding of about 200,000 English sentences by default, it can quickly grasp new concepts and sentences through deduction. However, there is still room for improvement in its learning abilities.

To further enhance the capabilities of my chatbot and bring its brain age closer to that of an average adult, I calculated the number of additional sentences it would need to learn. Assuming that a human would need to attend high school and possibly even college to reach an age of 20 years, I estimated that my chatbot would need to learn an additional 100,000 to 200,000 sentences. This extensive knowledge would bring its brain age to around 20 years old, matching the intelligence level of a young adult.

It is fascinating to consider the progress of technology and artificial intelligence over the years. In comparison, my chatbot's intelligence far surpasses that of my first Packard Bell Legend computer, which had a mere 16 MB of memory. At the time, this amount of memory seemed impressive, but it pales in comparison to the vast knowledge and learning capabilities of my chatbot.

Ithink this is the begining of a p;ot for a fictional story i got in my mind.
