⋆.˚✮ | movie review #1, the sisterhood of the traveling pants. (SLIGHT SPOILERS!!)

oh. my. fucking. GOD!! i literally never knew i could love a movie SO MUCH, and then this one came along! oh my gosh, where do i even begin?? 

the casting is literally chefs kiss, i am honestly ecstatic that america ferrera was in this movie, cause she is just such a wonderful actress; she always knows how to pull off a role, and she especially knows how to make you SOB until your freaking head is pounding from crying so much!! i'm gonna be quite honest, i was pretty much only interested in everyone else's POV except for bridget's. something about it just didn't hook me as much as the others POVs did, and that's perfectly fine! my all time FAVORITE POV of this entire movie though?? IT WAS TOTALLY LENA'S. UGH, i'm literally so jealous of her. i'm usually so icked out over romance in movies, but her and kostas' romance was literally just so cute that i couldn't hate it, even if i wanted to. 

as for carmen's POV, i felt nothing but anger for her; the WHOLE. ENTIRE. MOVIE. when i first started the movie, i was honestly hoping that they'd give her a little romance moment too, but nope, that didn't happen. it was just plain out daddy issues--which is pretty relatable, but i was SO hoping for something more. me personally, i am petty to the MAX, so if my dad did me the same way carmen's dad did her and then my friends tried to drag me off to his wedding?? i would not speak to them for a LONGGG time. carmen's dad never held himself accountable for leaving his effing wife and daughter, barely speaking or seeing his daughter more than twice a year, and THEN FINDING A NEW FAMILY TO FIT HIMSELF INTO SINCE HE FINALLY WANTS TO TAKE UP THE ROLE OF BEING A FUCKING DAD TO KIDS THAT AREN'T BIOLOGICALLY HIS, all while his actual biological daughter is waiting for his next yearly visit, and then her friends just decide that it's a perfect idea to make her basically accept her dad back into her life, sending him the message that his daughter will always run back to him, no matter how badly he fucks up. are you kidding me right now?? are you LITERALLY KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW?! i'm literally fuming just typing this, i need to move onto the next POV cause ohmygod. 

tibby's POV.. tibby's. EFFING. POV!! i sobbed. it was literally so beautifully heartbreaking, i'm still in shock. it's been 2 HOURS since i watched the movie. i know the message/purpose of everything that happened in her POV was to get her to learn to open up more, and to feel her emotions, BUT IT WAS SO PAINFULLL. i so badly wanted the jeans to work its magic on bailey and make her better, but i knew that i was in for a major breakdown when tibby's mom got that phone call. i might've also sobbed when she said that she was gonna name her movie bailey, and that she wrote/embroided "bailey was here" on the jeans, but we're not gonna talk about that..

i have one more thing to say. THIS MOVIE IS SO GIRLHOOD! idc if that doesn't make sense, because it literally does. it practically embodies what goes on in teen girls' friendships, so it is SO girlhood.
