HATSUNE MIKU???

So the Hatsune Miku concert was like awesome. The whole event was super unorganized and honestly a disaster, but I had a fun time.

We got there and the line to the merch booth was down the street, but of course being us we waited 2 hours in that fucking line. I didn't mind, as long as it meant I got merch I'd be happy, but when we were almost at the booth they said they ran out of glowsticks. They actually ran out of everything. They didn't have any bracelets, keychains, buttons, hoodies, even the acrylic stands and patches were sold out. So I thought, I'm not gonna stand in this line for 2 hours and get NOTHING, so I got a wall scroll! Later I ordered a hoodie online because it was in stock on their website.

Then we had to wait even more to actually get into the arena. It was so confusing because the floor seats (the ones we had) were supposed to enter at the opposite side of the building? But there was no actual directions showing that it did, so we had to ask an employee.

When we got into the arena the floor was pretty packed, but me and my friend got a pretty good place to stand. We're very short so we kept having to look in between people's heads to actually see Miku, but we surprisingly saw like 80% of the concert.

They didn't have a hologram this time, it was actually an LED screen. It was a little disappointing because I've always wanted to see Miku as a hologram on stage, but this time it was just a flat screen and she didn't look like she was on stage at all. There were times where the lights went off and it looked pretty cool, but most of the time the lights were coming from behind the screen so we saw the screen like 99% of the concert. On the floor it didn't look that bad, but I saw videos of other people in the seats and it looked pretty stupid.

As for the setlist, I only knew a handful of songs. Im an older vocaloid fan so I only really listen to the older music (I don't like the newer as much). The ones I knew were World is Mine, on the rocks, Miku, Unknown Mother Goose, and Blue Star. The other songs I didn't know, but they were really good, my friend said they only played the award winning songs which made a lot of sense. I wish the setlist was a bit better though.

The overall experience was mid for a concert and from an outside perspective, but I honestly had a lot of fun. I was dancing the whole time and I honestly cried a couple times (specifically when they played unknown mother goose). The band was amazing too, their introductions were badass.

I'm sorry if this is unorganized, my friend is picking me up in like 10 mins to go to his Chalet but I wanted to update on the Miku concert real quick. I WAS gonna play guitar hero but there's no way I'd be able to now.

Bye bye!
