HOW 2 TAME BIRDS???

soo i got a canary a couple months ago and ive been trying to get it to trust me but its really hard :/ I've read somewhere that you have to be patient with canaries are theyre particularly hard to tame but i thought by now she would be less scared of me. Yes, i give her space and she has a MASSIVE cage full of toys and enrichment and as well as that i let her out of the cage everyday. Any tips? Asking because i dont want her to put up a fight everytime i try and put her back in her cage.
