Making the switch to a dumbphone as an artist

I've talked a bit about my struggle with the time I spend on technology instead of doing the things I want to do, but just yesterday I finally got my foot in the door to actually doing what I desire.

My phone finally kicked the bucket. It was a huge blessing now that I look at it, because my close friend decided to help me finally purchase the phone I've been meaning to replace that crappy old thing with. I hope to pay him back soon.

Anyway, this is a perfect step tp the beginning of finally closing the chapter of my life where I stop letting social media and its overwhelming voices be the god of my life.

As a charachter illustrator and a 2d, and 3d animaton vfx artist, staying in touch with the art community is very important to me, so I know it won't be the end of the line when it comes to me using social media, but besides to post and for networking + inspo, I am saying goodbye to the days of doomscrolling.

To celebrate this revelation, I am going to take a walk!
