How i turned ginger on accident...

So im a blonde and i never dyed my hair so this incident scared me a little:

i was just walking my dog and the sun was shining very bright today as it is getting warmer and spring is coming. (note that i didnt went into the sun for that long before cuz the winter switched to spring in a very short period of time and i was away from my hometown in the past days) When i came back home i looked in the mirror and my blond hair was very ginger at the roots. So to check if i wasnt seeing things i asked my family and they confirmed that my hair got orangey-pink.

Anyone got any idea what the reason for that could be...?

PS: my hair got back to my normal color after about an hour.
