writing a game story line for creative writing and it's a group of friends stumbling across a door in the woods and greeted by these amphibian human sized things and they're selected by the government there to fight against each other for their entertainment, but they have a month buffer to learn fighting moves and or magic they can either find each other in that month buffer and find a way to make their way back home or betray each other and if there's one person left what consequences will that one kid face?
yes the name is inspired by pierce the veil >_<

Okay i should explain the back ground. So this isn't the first time someone has stumbled upon the door it first happened in the 1980s this guy was in his 20s the history of this had been passed down from world leader to world leader everyone is involved with this every decade they have to gather and discuss who they should sacrifice. This time they didn't gather in time due to a cold war going on between the us and the Uk. then its to the present day right. Back to the guy the government of the US didn't expect him to make it out and he was talking about how time moves faster there and how there's talking amphibians and how they made him fight people t the death and how they're so much more advanced the government found him and locked him up in a mental asylum where he rots there are two ending to my game the kids making it out together but loosing half the group (depends on how many people the player picks) or until the player kills everyone and they get to leave.
More information about the world they go to: When the world first started, to like make societies and stuff the amphibians helped out everyone they had lived in harmony getting along until the medieval era, France had kicked them out for own selfish reasons saying they were disgusting and stuff and the amphibians said we'll leave if every decade you send over humans into the new realm we're making and let us watch them fight. They agreed and for a while they had gotten together and decided a group of prisoners would be sacrificed each time until the 80s they had forgotten and that's when that guy went and tried exposing, now during the covid era they forgot once more and now you the player either have to pick to betray those closest to you or try to make it out with everyone and risk messing up an agreement that has lasted centuries
