Poem: Abyss Replicating

I finally got some inspiration to write something new! I'm extremely proud of this one and hope you like it too!

I stand on the edge of a black abyss

Waiting to be sucked in and spat back out

And even knowing the agony that awaits

I stand on the edge of the black abyss

Gloom tries to call me away from the edge

Waiting for me to be vulnerable again

Maybe it's sickness, or maybe it's healing

Life tries to call me away from the edge

I think it's best to seal it away

So I can learn to walk in a different direction

The wind does, too; it calls to me in waves

"We think it's best to seal it away"

Is this the life I deserve?

Superstition consumes, I crave the abyss once more

I'm just a man who knows nothing else

Is this the life I want?
