At My Funeral
At my funeral, countless faces cry
My red heart has been painted black
Suits and dresses of tragedy—
Cover the silhouette of the coffin
Sticky tears fall and crash—
Onto the floor like heavy rain
On a midnight June summer
This house will be a flood soon
Acceptance isn’t the easiest part
And I know you would be outraged
If you found out my killer
Cause his face is in the coffin
I’m the fraud staring back at him
Pretending who I am, satisfying society
If anyone knew the horrid truth
I’m only disappointing everyone
