my random thoughts ~24h after joining

honestly, this website is tuff asl. i think the customization is obviously the best part, unfortunately most social media sites don't let you customize your profile like this, the closest to it that i use is tumblr. i reallyyyy enjoyed creating a profile that represented most sides of me. 

the coding thankfully wasn't giving me any issues until it was time to embed music on my profile, literally took over an hour since the music jus decided that it didn't feel like playing?? but i FINALLY got it to work (and loop!) - i wish the music could be heard on mobile too, but i'm assuming that's not the site's fault and more abt html as a coding language. 

the groups unfortunately don't really appeal to me, which once again isn't the website's fault but the fact that it's a smaller community than other social media sites. while there were some groups that existed that i would like to join, they're just not active. that's a thing i noticed, even (some) of the most popular groups aren't THAT active, let alone any one of them with like <150 members. there's also a lot of old/dead accounts sitting in these groups & on this site in general, which sucks cuz this site is kinda fun. also didn't expect this site to be ran by metalheads lmao, that's completely fine but finding rap fans here was harder than i expected. the community here is very 'tumblr' like (not an insult, i also use tumblr often). it's also very white, but also not? lots of diversity in terms of nationality atleast from the profiles i've seen. 

i've definitely come across some cool people, and people i recognize? i didn't expect to see any youtubers here but i've seen atleast 3 lol. 

overall, i've enjoyed it so far, i hope i don't get bored of it soon but the groups being as inactive as they are i'm not sure.
