ᕙ〳 ರ ︿ ರೃ 〵ᕗ

Recently I started watching this show called Lovely Complex and man does it grind my gears. The protagonist Risa is a high schooler with a rival named Otani and they are always at each other's throats. She has a massive crush on him and he is so dense that it flies past him when she confesses man she cries so much and it upsets me. She is stuck on him regardless of how often he brushes her off. Her bestie Nobuko tries to help her and so does her other friend Chiharu.

The thing is they are so complimentary to one another that people around them don't take them seriously and are called a comedic duo. Otani sees Risa as not a girl but a person he can joke around with, having ZERO romantic connotations to Risa. Risa attempts so badly to be other than herself, that this one-sided romance has been an issue in her self-worth, social relationships, and even her home life.

Otani fr flirts and says things to Risa without thinking and brushes it off. Risa is very sensitive about everything he tells her and yet she is so in love she keeps pursuing him. I'm all in for her wanting to be in a romantic relationship but she should find a guy who sees her. There is this other guy who loves her but he is such a playboy, he is her childhood friend and he is super annoying tbh. Risa tried to get over Otani but her heartstrings were pulled by him all the time. I'm on episode 15. 

BY the WAY, THREE YEARS have passed by this point and he still hasn't realized he is in love with RISA, AND IM LIKE OMFG GROW A NEW BRAIN CELL. He likes that she likes him and he spends time with her A LOT. Back to what I was saying, I'm on ep 15 and Risa decided to fr give up on Otani there is an attractive new teacher and she has developed a crush on him due to the fact he resembles a character in a game she likes. NGL he is hot but very creepy (。ヘ°) I'll update ya'll on what happens once I finish the show I have 9 more eps left・゜・(ノД`)

Note: despite my annoyance towards Otani and the show, I LOVE IT ALL the story tortures my soul ⊙ω⊙
