This year was supposed to be better! It was supposed to be nicer to us. But of course, we can never have nice things. Last year was a total nightmare and I can't see this year being any better. We have to heal. We have to be better. I have never seen so much hatred and ugliness as last year. I haven't even touched on the Pandemic. That in its self was craziness.
March of 2020, I was laid off... along with most of Las Vegas (And the country), it was scary and unpredictable. I was devastated. I was with that company for 8 years and I actually loved my job. When it first happened, I tried to look at it as like a small vacation. I stayed with my Sister (also laid off) and just enjoyed spending time with her and my niece and nephew. Then 2 weeks turned into 6 months! The only thing that has gotten better is that I was able to get new job in September. I am working for a temporary agency but the pay and hours are good so I can't complain. The job its self is frustrating. The company is struggling against the pandemic as well and dealing with casino closures. It has been quite chaotic.
Anyways, I am going to get through this year just like I did last year. Maybe things will start too look up soon. Fingers crossed.
