My thoughts on core values, let me know if you feel the same. :)

You know how you are expected to come up with personal values at some point, usually with work or even school? I've always hated that and I could never figure out why, but I figured it out today.

People usually write out their values as one word such as “integrity” or “excellence,” I have always hated that. I don't think your values should be a single word you find in the dictionary or something that would come up if you typed in “values” in a search bar, that’s just vague and poorly defined. While writing an essay one of the best ways you can begin is with a definition, but you’re not supposed to just pluck one from Merriam-Webster. What you’re meant to do is define it yourself in your own words. I feel this way about values as well, It means nothing to you if you don’t define it yourself. Other wise it's just superficial, there's no introspection at all if it's nothing more than a word.
