Early Video Game Memories

Video games have always been a big part of my life and I've been playing them from a very young age. Some of my first memories was playing Pokemon Blue on my older brothers Gameboy Color. Of course I was probably around 3 and couldn't read and never got past that old man in Viridian City. But that very faint memory latched onto me, especially Pokemon.

My parents were very against video games when I was very young, the only consol we had in our house was a gameboy color and a few games for our Windows 98 Computer, most of them were educational games like Put Put Goes to Space. Though one day we were gifted our cousins old Ps1 and that was our first home console (This was around 2003 to 2004) I remember it came with Final Fantasy Tactics, Spyro the Dragon, Crash Bash, and Rollcage stage 2. I think those were the only games we ever had on the console. I have very fond memories of those games even though I never got very far in them as a kid, but Final Fantasy Tactics was one of those games like Pokemon really stuck with me (I'll probably make more blog post about these "Special" games in the future).

I guess after getting that my parents stopped being so strict since we got a ps2 at one point though I have no memories of getting one (Probably something my brother got), and I got my own Gameboy Advanced Sp around that time as well after using my brothers old model Gameboy. I was obsessed with Pokemon going into Elementary School and Kindergarten, 3rd Gen was popular then and I remember constantly playing Ruby in the car and anywhere else I could bring my Gameboy. It's how I made some of my first friends in Elementary school, and I even brought in my Pikachu Plush for show and tell. And at home I would play Ratchet and Clank as well as Sly 2 and 3 on our Ps2.

Anyways I just wanted to ramble on some old memories, I'll probably post more here soon!
