is jjk worth it??

i know i'm behind on the hype but is it worth watching?? my friend considers it the top 3 of our current time (paired with demon slayer and chainsaw man, i'm a big chainsaw man fan but i did argue that mha is more popular and has a larger fandom but they weren't having it)

of what i'm seeing a character dies like every other episode/chapter... main characters too.. and i'm a big crybaby and get very attached to my anime characters (denji my son) so i gotta know if its worth the pain
