The Prison Guard

There is a prison under capitol hill

There is no future in any cell

I parol the halls to soak in the grief

I bathe in misery and wash in disgust

I chose to live in despair

It's more exhilarating down here

At any moment, a subject could snap

And charge at me to crack my face

As I am beaten against the stone floor

There is a smile.

I am the most hated man in all of creation

The prisoner is pulled away from me

My bones are broken and my eyes are swollen

They drag me to the infirmary

Every imperfection in the concrete

Causes a flare of pain

To rack my bloody body

When I wake up the infimary is empty

I am like an injured horse

I do not know

What kind of glue factory they will send me to

I cannot smile

but the excitement traces my veins

who knows what horrors will come

I am a wretched, broken thing
