the movie industry kinda sucks *rant*

I just finished watching the new ghostbusters, frozen empire and it was a fun watch but honestly just sucked. It was bland, had like 50 million movie cliches and it just felt like a repeat of the last ghostbusters movie. now after watching this movie I kind of realized I think the last time i watched a good, new fresh movie was everything everywhere all at once. It feels like everything nowadays is just a sequel from a popular franchise. Like the ghostbusters movies have gotten progressively worse because of the amount of sequels it has. Like the scream franshice, I like watching the movies because theyre fun anf scary, but the plot honestly just sucks and gets boring. like- the mc girls father was the OG ghostface?? billy loomis?? and shes like having hallucinations of him telling ehr to kill? wtf is this?????? honesltly i feel like i wouldve liked it if it was just a whole new cast and they didnt keep the OGs just for the cash grab. same with ghostbusters, it feels like theyre jsut keeping the OG for the cash grab. also, the new characters are ok, i feel like i would like them a bit more if they didnt keep bringing in the OG cast. Like the fire bender guy was funny asf, finn wolfhard who plays trevor is also funny but he doesnt get too much focus. It feels like every movie nowasayd is literally JUST a sequel or remake coming from like a book or previous films. like the new despicable me, the garfield movie, king king and godzilla (I like watching those two but it also gets boring) and yada yada. Maybe im just not seeing the good stuff, and the new stuff im seeing just kinda sucks. Like some remakes and prequels are good, but when it goes on forever it gets boring. I totally get how it can be risky to make new movies bc of fans but like... if they wrote it good they wouldnt have to worry as much. Like madam web. that shit was so bad it was actually fucking hilarious, but it flopped in the box office. and it had SO MUCH potentia!! madam web and the 3 girls looked so cool! but the writing was ASSSSSSSSSSSSSS. also forgot to mention kung fu panda 4.. it had potential man. fun watch but not perfect, and I guess maybe it was a nice add but i feel like it wouldve been nice to keep it just with 3 movies. maybe im an asshole and super mean but i jusst feel like rn all these movies are soo dryy and just all sequels and remakes and just suck. idk. also again, not saying they cant be done well. i mean borderland looks pretty cool. just yeah, if theres any movies that anyones watched that was really good Id liket o hear idk 😭😭😭😭 i love watching movies sm so its a big disappointment rn to see whats happening rn with these bland cash grabs 😭😭😭
