Windows 3.0 was really good. (p.s I also emulated this one as well)

History

Windows 3.0 is the third major release of Microsoft Windows, launched in 1990. Its new graphical user interface (GUI) represents applications as clickable icons, instead of the list of file names in its predecessors. Later updates expand capabilities, such as multimedia support for sound recording and playback, and support for CD-ROMs.

Windows 3.0/3.1 was also a shell for MSDOS but it had better compatibility than it's previous OS's.  Windows 3.0/3.1 was released to the public and people loved it!

My Opinions 

3.1 was very nice to look at.  No more neons bleeding my eyes.

what a great start screen.

the colors are very pleasant to look at and everything is right here!  The first thing I did obviously was change the colors of the screen.

Alright!  That's really cute!  Next I decided to play some of the games on the system.

Solitare!  This is the first time it appeared on windows systems!  (there was also minesweeper but I couldn't get it to work)

The writing software was also really nice.  I could choose fonts at a whim without too much of a struggle.

Windows 3.0 MSpaint was definitely an improvement over 1.0's.  It still didn't work great, but at least I could draw something without it taking centuries to load.

Overall Windows 3.0/3.1 gets a 6/10
