3DS and Wii Users - Support the SpotPass Archival Project!

On April 8th, 2024, all online servers for the 3DS and Wii are to be discontinued. This means that all games and services utilizing SpotPass will not be able to use SpotPass features! This means games like Mario Kart 7, Tomodachi Life, Swapnote and Swapdoodle, and many more games will be affected. (Games that utilize StreetPass will not be affected, as it does not rely on online communication servers to function)

As of writing this, there is no revival service out yet. However, an active project called the SpotPass Archival Project makes it possible for 3DS and Wii users with custom firmware to dump their SpotPass data into the project's collection to be preserved and used by network revival services in the future.

I highly recommend that you take a second to read more about the project and about custom firmware in the links provided below. All SpotPass data that is dumped to the S.A.P stays anonymous and will benefit revival services in the long run!
