Alright.  I finally got to use windows 1.0.  (BTW I emulated this so don't expect the quality on the other os's to be any better.  It's gonna be worse).

About Windows 1.0

Windows 1.0 is the first major release of Microsoft Windows, a family of graphical operating systems for personal computers developed by Microsoft. It was first released to manufacturing in the United States on November 20, 1985, while the European version was released as Windows 1.02 in May 1986.

Windows 1.0 was basically a shell for MSDOS.  It made things a little more intuitive for users.  It had all the things to do, all laid out for users.  It's also very colorful.  Windows 1.0 was released one year after the first Mac.

Now people did not like Windows 1.0.  People and Critics alike said that "there wasn't enough software, it did not perform well, and the compatibility with other softwares was very low."  Windows 1.0 also got a lot of good reviews as well.

Now what did I think?

My Opinions 

It was okay.  Not my personal favorite but okay.

There's the main screen.  The colors are making my eyes bleed.  

I first tried out "Write.exe" because why not.

The menus are a bit tricky to navigate through but it does make it a fun puzzle.

I decided to play some games after that.  Well more like a game.  The only game we had installed on the emulator was Reversi.  A puzzle game where you take pieces.

Did I mention that I'm not very good at Reversi?  

yeah...

After playing a game I decided to play around with MSpaint.  Big mistake.

Let's just say it was very broken.  None of the brushes would work and the fill tool wasn't working too well.

overall, it was okay.

Windows 1.0 gets a 5/10.

Here's my rating system.

I will be judging on performance, overall look, applications, and how fun it is to use.

Now my scores are something like this.

0/10 - I hate this so much.

1/10 - I actively am in pain while using this.

2/10 - Why did they do this???

3/10 - I would rather be doing something else

4/10 - ehhhhh....it's fine

5/10 - It's okay.  

6/10 - Meh, has some good things ig.

7/10 - Oooh, now we're getting somewhere

8/10 - so close!  Just some issues

9/10 - really good, like I would use this 24/7

10/10 - pure perfection

So if your favorite is rated a bit lower, don't be upset!  This are my opinions on these OS's.
