I live in a perpetual state of yearning. Kiss each of my eyelids and make a wish on every glimmering tear. Succumb to delicate hands in your lap, etching needless questions into raw skin. You can see it within me, can't you? The ache. It hangs on each lash, a hurried escape from the eyes of a starved dog. The learned hopelessness is palatable.
