My opinions on minimalism

Minimalism or "The grey era" to me, in my opinion, is boring.

Like, brands decide to make their titles look the exact same, everything is more grey now, nothing is colourful, and there is no detail in anything anymore. Don't believe me? look at these pics

It makes everything look bland and boring and gives me super backrooms vibes.

What happened to the phase when everything was more colorful and detailed? Who thought it was a good idea to make everything bland?

This also applies to fashion (which is my main point). The fashion trends on tiktok/other social media platforms and in the real world are drastically different. It sucks that people are wearing plain t-shirts and jeans and call other people "emo" or "anime kid" for wearing anything else.

This doesn't, of course, doesn't apply to everybody and everything, but it is common here (especially where I live in the UK).

And I am not one of those people who makes one of those tiktoks where its like "my no's in fashion" and it's those old money 2000's girls who lists everything that aren't their style, I'm just saying that minimalism is becoming more common in modern times and I just personally don't like it.

No offense to those old money 2000's girls, but do you really wear that stuff in public? I'm not saying it's embarrassing to wear it, actually, I'm saying the exact opposite. When I go out, I don't really see those coquette, y2k, mcbling, old money styles. And that's a bad thing for me, since it shows that people are embarrassed or shy to wear stuff like that, and that they want to fit in with everyone else.

So...what's my message here?

My message here is to wear what you want and don't feel ashamed on what you wear, if you don't want to be minimalistic, then don't. If you want to be something else, that's fine. Be different and don't be basic. That's my message.
