Hey so i just saw the new horror movie called Late Night With the devil. And like i like the whole aesthetic of it but the ending for me fell off it's like the whole pourpose of the movie changed at the very end and i don't like that. Why are horror movies flopping so hard right now? they aren't hitting that same terror as they once did and like once in a while a good one will pop up. It's so frustrating dose anyone else feel like this too or am i just missing something?

Remember watching the trailer for this film a few days back. The concept and plot seems cool but rn there seems to be a boycott over the film rn for using AI generated art although it’s quite brief
Huh intresting

i havent seen that, but ive noticed lately that even the good horror movies have been struggling to make a decent ending. even some of my faves like the vvitch, hereditary, midsommar, etc build up a great story that keeps you on the edge of your seat only to end it all with aaaaaaaaaaand then everyone died. evilly.
like, im not saying it has to have a happy ending, but it should atleast have a /satisfying/ ending. isnt that the whole point of any kind of storytelling?
I totally agree its like they dont know what to do anymore
