Cousin Rant

I am so P/O at my family. It’s all a l…o…n…g story which I may break down in parts later, but for now I’ll just say that I’ve been screwed over (yet again) by family members I probably trusted a little too much. I’m not surprised at the outcome though, I was always waiting for the other shoe to drop. 

So a year ago, it was decided (for many many reasons). That my cousin Michelle and her autistic daughter Alexis would move here to Florida. They would buy a house and my core family (myself, husband, and young child) would move into the house as well. We would pay our way, this wasn’t a handout. I was/am suppose to be Alexis’ guardian in the event of her mother’s passing. 

Now all of a sudden, they get cold feet, even after looking at almost 10 houses this past month. 

And when I asked her about it, she just leaves me hanging. No response. But I can see on the MyDisneyExperience app that her and other family members sure are having fun at the parks while I’m now having to work overtime to compensate for the previous time off I took to look at houses. 

I’m now stuck in a rental that we hate! with a passion. I’m just glad I hadn’t said anything to the landlord. Yikes.
