Something I’ve always been attracted to is consistency and I’ve always wondered WHY?

 Is it because I have never (or rarely) felt that from my loved ones so I look for that in a partner? 

The truth of the matter is I find a sense of security in consistency. Knowing that no matter what, that person is never gonna put you in harm’s way, never let you feel alone, or even never allowing any outside influences to hurt you. Someone proving to you everyday that they are capable of keeping you safe. 

Sometimes I wonder, have I never felt safe?

Home is where I feel the most safe. 

The way the sun shines in the same east side of the house and sets on the west side of the house. 

See now, that’s consistency.
