AND TO YALL WHO FORGOT WHAT NORMAL CLOTHES COSTS: it doesnt cost fucking cents, its not meant to. u pay for the craftsmanship, of the materials price and the amount of hours spent on one piece. most of these are handmade or from small brands, and even so, if some of them try to rip u off (cus lets be fr, many vintage sellers do...) you can use your brain and just not buy it ;)

i do on depop, not ofteeen tho. i wish i could on threadup but its not available in my country :i we just got vinted actually so im often looking there

fr !!! mass produced clothing that was originally supposed to be "new n cool and original" w its design loses its entire meaning if its meant to be sold to millions all the time (cough cough ultra fast fashion stores)

I love seeing these kinds of lists! It's all so unique and awesome!
Also I just had this type of conversation with friends at school about how actual good quality clothes are not cheap. They just seemed annoyed when I pointed out that this idea that clothes are meant to be cheap doesn't help anyone. The clothes don't last long so it's more expensive in the long run to keep buying the same items over and over again, wasting money and producing waste. The workers who actually made the clothing don't get paid fair wages. And the factories who made the items so cheaply continue to just pollute the planet. It only benefits the stock holders and CEO when we keep buying cheap mass produced items without a care for it how it affects others. The fact that this has to be constantly talked about, even with "progressive" people who say they're anticapitalistic and environmentally conscious, is just tiring.
