the interpretations of Lain's character (with a suitable layout lol)

Serial experiments lain is one of my favourites pieces of media ever.

I value the amount of detail and absurdity that was put into the series and I still can't get over the way it mirrors modern internet culture. The only thing I would criticise is the flanderisation of Lain

The only thing I would criticise is the flanderisation of Lain's character that I see online
It's not due to the series, I think it's due to people not watching the series. 
I was talking to my friends about this the other day and explained how I think Lain's character gets boiled down to 'oh I love computer and I think everyone else should go away!!' which contradicts the final parts of SEL In which Lain reconnects with her humanity through contact and the presence of Alice (or Arisu, depending on the subs you watch) I think it
I think it's unfair to flanderise lain so much given that the flanderised version of her is so far away from what the series meant, lain wants that human connection by the end of the series and she gets it, unfortunately she does have to sacrifice that in order to save Alice Lain truly cared deeply for Alice and I feel like unless you
Lain truly cared deeply for Alice and I feel like unless you're an avid fan of the series, you can forget that and get lost in the cool cyber aesthetics I don't hate the wide variety of interpretations of lain, in fact I love to see different views on media I enjoy. Lain is supposed to be interpreted in unique ways and each person will feel differently about it
I personally don't get the version of Lain that people have that hates everyone and plays COD lol (unless it's knights lain, or lain of the wired,,, then I understand it lol)
