Nothing Valued Is Here: One Week In

It's been a little over a week since we released our first album NOTHING VALUED IS HERE and it's been so exciting to see the response to it. While the album is still very small right now, it's currently our quickest release to get over 100 streams total and has already sold a few CDs (which you can find here via Partymouse Records if you're interested.) This album was created all by us, from the writing to the production to the graphic design, and seeing people enjoy it, even if just a small amount, is incredible. A lot of people have said the sound is hard to pin down, with it having changed what genre it is already 3 times on RYM and friends before it was released all giving a different answer as to what the genre is, but I (Dayton) am personally proud of that fact. To me, that means we're doing something truly unique if you can't pin down what it is exactly while remaining consistent with clear influences such as skramz, shoegaze, and other similar genres. 

This album is also extremely personal to me, which made me extremely hesitant to release it. While we had finished making the album back in September or October of 2023, I sat on releasing it for a while out of fear that something so close and personal would fail or be completely hated. While I know that the hate would not be about my own personal experiences, having them this closely related to the art makes it hard to not separate those feelings.
