so mayor jones being gay was like
definitely canon right
not the oddly romantic setting with bronson lmao 
they're shown like this multiple times throughout the show
tbh i wish janet didn't get with bronson but that's a conversation for another day
but seriously, this show (despite being from all the way back in 2010) did not shy away from including queer characters/subtext. and considering that the show's creators already confirmed in 2020 that velma and marcie were in love, i wouldn't put it past them to have done this purposely.
continuing with my jones and bronson theory, in the aphrodite episode (screencap shown above) they're clearly shown to be together. yes, it was caused by amanda, but the thing is - every pairimg that showed up already had some sort of mutal attraction/romantic tension.
so with that, we could infer that bronson and jones definitely had feelings for each other. jones is shown as/implied to be single throughout the entire show apart from when he's around bronson (and that photo of fred's "mom" cut from a magazine, but that whole thing was fake anyway). dude has only ever shown feelings for men.
i declare that mayor jones is canonically a gay man.

how the actual fuck did SDMI get away with killing off all those characters.
THIS SHOW IS RATED Y7 (7 years and up) WHAT THE FUCK???
i get that the ending kind of makes it less dark but like jesus fucking christ
i have the number of named chraacters memorized who died before the timeline reset and it's 4 wtf
they all have like really graphic/violent deaths too
here's the list of characters and ways they died, spoiler warning obviously
deaths
danny darrow - S1E17 - commits suicide by staying in the basement of the darrow house as it collapses. it's pretty clear that he could've made it out, but he chose not to.
ed machine - S1E26 - dies in some sort of violent confrontation with pericles, it is unknown what exactly pericles did to him. the last you hear of him is his violent screams, as the camera cuts to the outside of the mansion he was in. show creators later confirmed on twitter that he was deceased.
cassidy williams - S2E11 - dies in the underwater explosion to save the gang and that pair of kids who had the pet sea lion. episode also shows the drowned corpse of abigail gluck, a member of one of the past mystery incs.
marcie fleach (AKA hot dog water) - S2E25 - sacrifices herself to buy time for the gang amd is murdered in cold blood. as pericles' nazi robots approach her, camera cuts back to the gang (who is farther away and cannot see her at this point) and gunfire is heard in the distance. scooby hears it, alerts velma, and they look at each other with sad/worried expressions. definitely the most disturbing death of the show IMO.
also, nova likely died at some point after the town was basically abandoned in favor of the mine, considering she was on life support.
i didn't count pericles or anyone that died in the last episode because it was literally everyone. in total, 40 named characters die throughout the show, including ones killed during the timeline reset.
also this entire show revolves around some crazy shit the conquistadors did centuries ago, literally shows them brutally murdering the indigenous peoples, also there's an army of nazi robots, the main villain for most of the story is a nazi bird, and there's just a lot of concerning shit in this cartoon in general
seriously what the fuck was this show and why did my ADHD choose THIS as my special interest

IS THAT SCOOBY-DOO??? Also that's a lot going on, how did I didn't notice that when watching the show? Interested in this queer couple that is not a couple but I'll stay believing they are
