So, on (most of ?) Linux distros and Mac OS, when you want to write a capital À, Ç, É, È or Ù, you just turn on caps lock and press the key.
On Windows... omg... it'll write a number. But since Windows is the most popular OS, some people now believes that CAPITAL LETTERS DON'T HAVE AN ACCENT IN FRENCH, WHILE THEY DO ;_;
Who the hell at Microsoft France designed this nonsense and awful design ?
Oh and how to use these letters (without copying them from elsewhere) ? Well, you have to press alt, then a code on the numpad (and if you don't have a numpad, you're fucked ; because the numbers above the letters doesn't work for that)
Like for example, a Ç is done by typing Alt+0199, the É with Alt+144, etc. That's just AWFUL D:
