Sol and Luna lived in company for millennia, each basking in the glow of the other’s light. However, there was an unquelled emptiness inside of Them, an emptiness that the both of Them understood.
They needed to guide something. To nurture. To Mother.
And with that need, the Two Lovers attempted to create new life.
With the same light and passion that She created Luna, Sol, with Her lover’s aid, forged a realm for Their children to live.
With a longing to be close to Her children, Sol created what we know as Mercury. But Her love was too overbearing, and scorched the earth. Afraid of what would happen, She chose to put the next realm, Neptune, far away from Her. But there was no warmth that reached it, and nothing would grow.
It was then that Luna suggested, in Her wisdom, that They should find a balance; an area where They could give Their child love, but not bear down on the life They wanted to create.
With that, They created Uranus, somewhere between the distance of Neptune and Mercury. But Their expectations were too great, and They knew that nothing would live there.
Luna, infatuated with the idea of a large family, attempted to create a realm larger than Herself to impress Sol. This is Jupiter. However, it lacked solidity, and no life could exist on it.
Then there was Saturn, created with rings to represent infinity. But it was too cold.
Venus was made closer to Sol in an attempt to keep their children warm; but there was too much heat and nothing would survive.
Their second-to-last attempt was Mars.
Mars seemed perfect; there was everything needed to host life, but when life grew they abandoned their Mothers, ungrateful for what They had done for them.
Enraged and in a fit of impatience, Sol burned the planet to a crisp.
Luna had to calm Sol down, and suggested that they try once more.
Their final creation was a realm of beauty, one with the perfect balance.
This realm is the ground we walk on to this day.
This realm is the Angel Earth.
Tired from Their hard work, the Two were only able to make a small speck of life, but They knew deep in Their hearts that the sole spark would be enough.
The speck grew and grew into many miraculous creatures, spreading and becoming something greater than the Mothers could have ever imagined. This is where our story begins.
