The Walking Dead - Carl Grimes

Most of you can probably tell that Carl Grimes is my favorite character in The Walking Dead. I am going to be doing a little rant about the events that happened with Carl so I will be giving a spoiler warning here so do not read any further if you do not want to be spoiled!

Carl Grimes' death was not necessary at all. His death was used as shock value and the only reason they killed off his character was because they did not want to pay Chandler Riggs (his actor) an adult wage. Carl died to save Siddiq who is a doctor just for them to kill Siddiq a season later. I also hate how they wrote other characters' reactions to Carls's death. Literally no other characters cared except Rick, Michonne, and Enid. Maggie didn't even have a reaction and she had known him since he was a little kid. Carl had so much potential to become his comic counterpart and they completely threw it in the trash can. I also especially hate how Daryl told Rick to just "let him go" (referring to Carl) but Daryl NEVER would say that to Maggie about Glenn. Daryl allowed Maggie to be upset about Glenn for 10+ years but Rick needs to just let his son go? Please. I will never forgive Daryl and Maggie for trying to go behind Ricks back. Terrible writing on AMCS part. Carl was supposed to take lead over the show and they never gave him that opportunity. I will ALWAYS be bitter over Carls's death and how unnecessary it was. I stopped watching the show after Rick left and honestly if Rick leaving was always going to happen, they missed the opportunity to have Carl take over after him. Im so glad that when Chandler left the show he took half the viewership with him. The Walking Dead was such a good show and AMC let greed destroy it.
