I hate Alkaline batteries in terms of tech!

Yes, they can destroy your precious electronics by leaking or corroding if you keep them inside your electronics for a long time.

Rechargable batteries = lot better, because you can use the same batteries and don't have to worry much. (according to my experience).

Who agrees?

(btw I hope this the right category)

Oh yes, definitely! Above all, not only are they inefficient and easily-broken, they're simply so wasteful. Furthermore, I fear that the volatility of the substances inside of alkaline batteries\ may come back to bite us in the long-term :((

I Feel the same. I have this old camera That takes batteries and I've been looking for ways to convert it to lithium.

Your scenario matches mine. Our PowerShot from '07 was destroyed by this, and nobody could repair it. Such a loss for us....

it sucks cause nobody realistically thinks its the last time using a certain product so batteries getting left in stuff is just super common and I hate it

Exactly!

I wonder how they are still a thing when rechargeable batteries exist.

Man they're still a thing and are still widely popular here where I live...
