Hot take: programmers are safe from AI (at least for now)

tell me why I ask chatgpt to fix a small bug in my code and it returns a 150 line monstrosity... I've decided to completely stop using ai to help with my college assignments bc when I use it I spend 3 hours on a task I could've done in 1 hour bc I constantly have to adapt to chatgpt's terrible attempts at creating a solution... And I mean yeah ai will definitely quickly evolve and develop but who develops the ai? Programmers exactly.
