Alone

Alone. A word used to describe a certain feeling of emptiness, or a feeling of isolation. 

Most people perceive being alone as a negative thing. But I don’t agree. I’ve been alone for so long that I find a hollow comfortness to it. 

Being engulfed in the empty space is oddly soothing. It’s dark and cold and I don’t have to put up a front with it. You see, the empty space doesn’t judge, in fact it doesn’t do anything, 

it just lets you exist. I guess most people would find it uncomfortable having nothing but yourself in the world, paying attention to your own breath, finding fault in each inhale and exhale. For me it’s the opposite,

Being alone doesn’t help me find my faults, it just helps me remember why I am the way I am.

It helps me remember why I am Alone.
