I wanted to connect with musicians that I like. I also wanted to find new ones around the country. So, I went ahead and searched through artists on Spotify and listened to a LOT of music. After hours of streaming, I can tell you a few favorites from a pretty big playlist I made of small artists from Seattle, to New York City, and even Orlando, Florida!
First, December by Collins Beach. It is such an emotional song. I feel like falling through a vortex and just being with everything I am when I hear this song. I wish I could better describe my love for it. But I remember getting to hear these guys in a room all to myself, they seriously are underrated. I hope they grow big, but not too big!
Next, Something by Justin Harden. This is his most recent song at the time of writing this blog entry, and this song makes me want to bang my head as I'm walking on the sidewalk in downtown Seattle. I will be getting looks left and right, but I will not care cause I'll be listening to something as I'm up to something. Seriously though, Justin Harden and his bandmates went all out making this song, and I am hyped for the album they are cooking up.
I also want to hype up Cartoon Violence by Asterhouse. These boys have commitment issues.... in a good way! They seem to like to try different sounds. Sometimes rock, sometimes more mellow, you name it! This song shows how excellent their range is. Cartoon Violence has got me hyped and ready to work a 10hr shift, giving me the ability to ignore the sheer fact that the harder I work, the more I do for my CEO, and the more tired I will be. Seriously, I do love this band. I just had to choose this song to talk about because, from what I have heard from them, it differs from the rest of their catalog.
Finally, AND FINALLY, A SONG I JUST DISCOVERED TONIGHT...
Teeth by Cooper!
what an excellent song... I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!! This band's sound is unique and offers something special. The mixing is excellent, the vocals are great, and the band sounds like it has great chemistry. This song makes me wish I never left Florida so I could have seen them live. I'm thankful to have met Sticky Steve at a Will Wood show in Orlando back in 2022 so I could have the PRIVILEGE of hearing this song. I would kill to see this band live. Anyway, Cooper! , your band rocks and I am glad I stumbled upon your discography as making this local band playlist.
If you are interested in hearing the playlist, here it is!
Thank you for taking the time to read this whole thing. I pray for good things to happen to you and your family and friends, and also your pets!
God bless!
