Why should I watch it?
Fellow Travelers es de ese tipo de series que te dejan con un corazón pesado, que te dejan pensando durante el día en la historia y en las sensaciones que te provoca. Recuerdo que cuando la ví, me di cuenta que hacía mucho tiempo que una serie me hacía sentir tan viva, pero Fellow Travelers lo logró a la primera. El amor y cariño hacia los personajes surge naturalmente y es imposible no identificarte con al menos uno de ellos.
La representación queer es impecable, el dolor, angustia y desesperanza que normalmente conlleva el ser queer; sin embargo, la serie no sólo es dolor, es una historia de amor, de crecimiento y de madurez. El no sólo amar al otro, sino amarte a tí mismo. Además, explora la intimidad gay como algo sensible y puro, y no como el estereotipo de algo sucio.
El proyecto fue hecho con el más grande respeto hacia toda la comunidad y te hace reflexionar sobre las problemáticas que exisitían (y que aún existen) en nuestra sociedad: homofobia, racismo, opresión hacia la mujer, la masculinidad tóxica y aún más. Es una oda a las personas que crearon el camino para que el día de hoy, las personas queer podamos ser más libres y contar y ejercer nuestros derechos. Fellow Travelers es de mis series favoritas y la recomiendo completamente.

Fellow Travelers is the kind of series that leaves you with a heavy heart, that leaves you thinking about the story and the sensations it evokes throughout the day. I remember that when I first watched it, I realized it had been a long time since a series made me feel so alive, but Fellow Travelers achieved that from the very beginning. Love and affection for the characters arise naturally, and it's impossible not to identify with at least one of them.
The queer representation is impeccable, portraying the pain, anguish, and hopelessness that being queer often entails. However, the series is not just about pain; it's a story of love, growth, and maturity. It's about not only loving others but also loving yourself. Also, it explores gay intimacy as something sensitive and pure, rather than perpetuating the stereotype og it being dirty.
The project was made with the utmost respect for the entire community and makes you reflect on the issues that existed (and still exist) in our society: homophobia, racism, oppression against women, toxic masculinity, and more. It's an ode to the people who paved the way for us queer folk to be freer today and to exercise our rights. Fellow Travelers is one of my favorite series, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

And his glasses were different. But it was him. Their eyes met. Tim stared at him in wide eyed shock before recognition melted his features into a confused outrage.
