I always wanted to have a 3ds, since it launched I asked to my mom but at the time we only could buy the first nds, that for me was super awesome anyways! it was my first real "console" and I had lots of fun in it, but some time ago when I tried to put some use to it again the upper screen started to "invert" the colors of it, making it pretty difficult to see somehting. I tried to buy a replacement but the problem was actually on one of the conectors and not the screen, and that cable were almost the price of a new one, so I just backed up everything and let it be...
So... back to today. I saw this boy at my college playing on a 3ds and suddenly my need to get a 3ds came back with all its force, and now I could probably buy one myself, but they got soo expensive and idk why! A used one is almost the price of a new nintendo switch lite yk, so I started to ask all people I knew if they got one, and how much would I have to pay to it XD, but usually people don't sell this things cause they are too attached to it, like I was with my nds, and I really understand them, even that it doesn't work at its 100% I wouldn't sell it for nothing
But after some time I got some good prices from some people of my college (including the boy that woke up that feeling in me), but just when I was going to give him the surety I would buy from him a very good friend of mine told me he would just give me him theirs ! for free !!
He told me that it was better to him to give it to someone he knows that would be happy with it other than to sell it to a stranger, and now I will make sure he is right and will have lots of fun in it!! I already downloaded a lot of games i always wanted to play, some themes etc ...
One of the best things of the 3ds is that different than the switch I can take him out without being too scared of getting robbed. The switch is CLEARLY expensive, but the nds is kinda small and can be disguised as just being some silly controler or a thing like that
here's a pic of all consoles I now own just because:
(i don't know if you'll can see but the upper screen of the nds on the left is kinda darker)

Congratulations, that boy who gave you his 3DS seemed very generous.
In my opinion, in terms of presentation, the 3DS is better than the Nintendo Switch (the 3DS has a lot of pre-installed software, the home menu has "ethereal technology ambiance" that was popular in the early 2000s, and the home menus theme can even be changed. As opposed to the Switch which has no pre-installed software, no ambiance, and menu themes are limited to generic black and generic white).
What games for the 3DS have you played so far, and do you have any interest in other games right now?

Yeah having cool themes natively is pretty cool, and I don't think that's too hard to make on a feature on the switch, a lot of people (including me) already uses/creates themes for it with cfw, so Nintendo could easily do it too, like they sell icons in the nintendo switch online. I think that lack of customimzation maybe cause the "minimalistic" looks of everything nowdays but idk
But I think the thing I most liked in the 3ds is the streetpass, i think that back when the 3ds was at its rise it would have waay more people using it but in my collage I already got like 3 different miis, I even went and talked with the people yk, the switch doesn't have anything like that probably because it is a hybrid console
And about the games, I am mostly playing animal crossing new leaf, pokemon X and the hatsune miku project mirai game XD
I donwloaded a lot more tho, like luigis mansion 2, rhythm heaven and 3 differnt zeldas. But if you would like to recommend some game I play almost anything !

I think StreetPass is pretty cool, but because of time moving forward, I have not been able to get a single Mii in my plaza.
As for games I would recommend, I would recommend Kirby Triple Deluxe, Kirby Planet Robobot, and WarioWare Gold (which was the last game Nintendo made for the 3DS that was not a port or a remake, and I think it was the perfect send-off for the console).

my friend actually had both this kirby games installed, so I would play them eventually, I don't like kirby that much but maybe I'll give a chance
and this wario game seems to be pretty cool! i'll give it a try too, thanks!
