Femininity is stupid?

Hi, girlyhotgirls!

Did you know that liking pink and wearing "girly" clothing is scientifically proven to lower your IQ?

It's a proven fact that you can't be both hyper-feminine and smart! I mean, have you ever even seen a movie where any pink-loving fashionista isn't a total ditz?! That just proves that feminine = stupid, right.... RIGHT????

The idea that women only have enough room in our tiny little girl brains to house either an interest in clothes and makeup or knowledge has been floating around since before time began. It's been so drilled into our heads that women have even declared war on each other! How can we win when we are labelled as either a "pick me" or a "bimbo"?

In reality, the idea that women have to choose between makeup and mental capacity is just crazy. Is it really that hard to fathom that a woman can post a pic of her new manicure whilest drinking her oat-milk caramel iced latte AND have an interest in current affairs? It's as equally damaging as the "one of the boys" mentality that implies that the woman who is interested in cars and video games should have to pick between her feminine identity and her hobbies.

Being a girlyhotgirl has nothing to do with your favourite colour or how often you read Vogue and everything to do with being proud of how our individual femininity manifests itself. Femininity isn't black and white. Femininity is a feeling, not a look or physical trait.

Women come in so many different, beautiful forms, and to try and box us off as either brains or beauty is to objectify us.

Girls just want to have fun... and also not to be seen as a hivemind of mascara and manicures.

I’ll never understand the mentality behind this way of thinking. Somehow, it reeks of misogyny to me.
