here a cool tip: hold an ice cube tight in your hand when you get the urge, or press the cube where you usually sh. the freezing sensation will help you calm down and it still inflicts a bit of pain without actually causing any harm
Try and find other, healthier coping mechanisms. Listening to music is one I use. Practicing an instrument is another good one, as well as making art. It's best not to hurt your body, lest it gives up on you when you least want it to.
