I paused to look at the circle. The surfer was trying to get out. Squirming left and right and trying to desperately leave. I couldn't do anything since it was surrounded by rock. The octopi then began to move in closer, and closer until there was almost no more room. Then my computer refreshed the page. But I wanted to go back to see what happened to the poor man.
I went left as I remember the notepad told me and then I saw the same thing except there was no octopi and there was no surfer. Just a rock circle. I just shrugged it off until I saw tiny bits of red slowly appearing. I panicked, refreshing the page to hopefully remove me from this nightmare. But to my surprise, the surf game closed. All my pages closed.
I didn't know what became of the surfer but I'm sure he was murdered by all those octopi. Then I realized at the bottom of my tab, there was a notepad.
It had said, "Sacred Tombs lie beneath the sea. What did you think happened to Edward Walson?" I closed the notepad and never wanted to play a offline game again. I'm afraid to return to that game, but curiosity is killing me. Who is Edward W? Is this related to me? Why me of all people to experience this, monstrosity of a recreation? I felt sick to my stomach. I left my computer for a bit. I may return to surf to see what happened if I didn't refresh the page.
