how do i tell her?

how do you tell a person that you love them?

and not in a friendly way, or the kind of love a teenager would confess with to their first partner. not the typical "i love you", and then breakup the next day.

how do you tell someone that they are all you think about when you smell a certain scent? or how you smile when you hear a song that you know they'd favorite for a few weeks until they've over listened to it until they get bored of it. that you lay in bed for hours, wishing that their head was laying on your chest whilst you both laughed whilst talking about random topics, trying to stay quiet so no one would wake up at 4am.

the kind of love where the slightest of affection would make you giggle hours later just thinking about it. the sort of love where you don't even think about sex, because their smile and laugh is more than enough to make you feel satisfied. the small touches like their fingers scraping your arm when you walk next to each other, and the moments where you both make eye contact after minutes of silence, becomes no longer awkward. 

being able to fall asleep only because they are next to you, as if you aren't an insomniac just because they make you feel safe.
