Hiking & lil life update! March 10 2024

Hey gang! I hope everyone is doing well, tonight I feel like sharing with you guys what I've been up to :)

If you read my previous blog, you might remember that I was thinking about maybe going back to CÉGEP (college here in Québec). Well, I finally decided in favour of going back and filled the admission form :D I'm now waiting to know if I'm accepted or not!

I've also recently bought a waterproof camera from FB marketplace! I had the idea of buying one so I could take cool underwater pics this summer to share with my friend :)) The model is a Nikon Coolpix S31. I took it with me when we (my boyfriend and I) went hiking!

About that, March 8th 2024, my boyfriend and I went hiking the Sentier de la Chute-de-Luskville! We had never been there before and had so much fun! The trail is 4,2km loop with an elevation gain of 300 meters! It took us 3 to 4 hours to do the entire thing x) We saw some beautiful falls and a Fire tower (I chose this trail specifically because I know my boyfriend likes them <3)!!! We also went to two lookouts! the Pontiac lookout, named after Chief Pontiac (originally Obwandiyag) from the Anishinaabeg Nation and the Lusk lookout, named after Joseph Lusk ; an Irish pioneer who came to Canada in 1820. We could see the beautiful Outaouais valley from them!! I wish I could show you guys the photo that I took, but I need to go buy some things to get them on my computer :(( We finally saw the Fire tower who was built in 1940! We couldn't climb it tho. We ate some snacks there and then went back down before the sun came down. During our hike, we hid some little forest spirits from Princess Mononoke around the trail (dw they're not plastics)!!! We also wrote a haïku about the Fire tower and left it at the foot of it. I hope people find them and take pictures with them :DDD (Also please don't be like me and hike with some converse, that's a really bad idea x) Imma go buy myself some hiking boots soon.)

Recently we also went to IKEA and I bought a lamp and some wall shelves so I could display my Monster High collection and other trinkets :)) My room is slowly taking shape and I'm really happy about that.

I turned 21 on March 6th 2024!!! :DDD And I've started thinking about some resolutions/challenges to help me get better. I hope they work!

I think that's all I had to say! It's 1AM here and I'm starting to be eepy /ᐠ - ˕ -マᶻ 𝗓 𐰁
