Had a mystifying experience of learning about Infra, played a ton of it over my winter break and I'm still not done, that game feels endless. it brought back the feeling of childish wonder for me. As you get older all the things that used to puzzle you or make you feel small gets explained away. "University of what it is" style (Nightvale reference for the real ones B)).
Also played cry of fear for the first time, one of the games i have only heard the name of and not much else. I feel like the modern gaming space is so oversaturated with the same garbage. I think it makes sense that Source is still relevant today, such a versatile engine filled with character. We need to create more actually useful, open and versatile technology. But ig capitalism doesn't support that lmao.
Would love to play more Source games with the same vibe as Infra, anything that can make me feel small again will do the job.
