Alkaline Trio concert blog ♡💀 March 6 2024

A few weeks ago I met a new friend from an Alkaline Trio fanpage. After getting to know each other better, we went to the Alkaline Trio concert together last night. We had an amazing time and even met the band!

I suck at styling my hair so I just used a vent brush to straighten it and clipped one side back with this cute spooky hair clip

Overall my look came together nicely, though my makeup didn't turn out as good as I wanted because of a breakout that was difficult to cover :( eh, I did my best.

The venue -The Fillmore in Philadelphia

Great sound, comfortable seats, good temperature control, good service, and a cool atmosphere. The chandeliers dazzle with color when the lights hit them.

The opener, Drug Church, was absolutely insane. I didn't get any good pics of them but they had so much energy and charisma. Loved them, would see them again.

Onto the main event - Alkaline Trio. Well you all know by now that I'm a hopeless fangirl but I promise I'm being serious when I say this was one of the best concerts I've ever been to (& I've been to a lot). 

They're touring for their new album Blood, Hair, and Eyeballs. It was great seeing the new songs live, they sounded better live than on the records. The setlist was perfect. The boys wore suits. Dan in particular was really feeling himself. It was an amazing show. 

And experiencing it with a new friend who loves the band just as much as me made it 10000x better.

A lady and her son had made bracelets and gave us each one! My friend's says Hot For Preacher which is a song title, and mine says Sweet Blasphemy which is a lyric from the song All On Black ♡ so adorable!

And last but certainly not least we got lucky enough to meet the band after the show! 

This is me and the guitarist/vocalist Matt Skiba! One of my favorite musicians EVER! Fangirl achievement unlocked.

It was an unforgettable night and I have to pat myself on the back: I left my comfort zone, pushed through my anxiety, and found wonderful things on the other side ♡

I stayed the night at my friend's house. She has 2 cocktiels and a parakeet and they're so cute and funny. This one, Taffy, took a liking to me and helped herself to some of my banana.

Now I'm home and decompressing. Due to my introversion and anxiety, this experience took a lot out of me and my batteries are drained, so I'll need time to recharge.

But it was so worth it ♡
