2NE1, The Girl Crush K-POP group.

My initial introduction to 2NE1 was through their music video for "I Am The Best." This song stood out as one of their most acclaimed hits, making waves on music charts and even featuring at Coachella in 2022, if I recall correctly. It was fascinating how I could instantly connect with the song, even though I was unfamiliar with it at the time. 2NE1 was a South Korean girl group. They had debuted in 2009 consisting of four members; CL, Minzy, Dara, and Park Bom. They were well known for their changing electric music style, blending pop, hip-hop, and electronics! 2NE1 was celebrated for their bold fashion and empowering messages. They achieved success globally, both in Korea and The States. The group had sadly disbanded in 2016. 

• CL: The leader and main rapper of 2NE1. Known for her powerful stage presence and charismatic rap delivery. She also contributed to vocals and was a key figure in the group's international appeal.
• Bom: The main vocalist. Bom's voice was known for its unique, soulful quality, and she often took the lead in the group's ballads and powerful choruses.
• Dara: Regarded as the visual of the group, Dara stood out for her distinctive style and fashion sense. She provided vocals and was loved for her soft voice and charming personality.
• Minzy: The main dancer and youngest member. Minzy was celebrated for her exceptional dancing skills, strong vocals, and energetic performances, making her a versatile member of the group.

The success and global reach of 2NE1 helped elevate the status of K-pop around the world. They inspired future generations of K-pop artists and groups, leaving a lasting legacy in the industry.

CL, the leader of 2NE1, truly stands out for her incredible talent and charisma. Her presence, both within the group and as a solo artist, has made a significant impact on fans and the music industry alike. Known for her distinctive voice and powerful rap skills, CL effortlessly blends singing and rapping, showcasing her versatility as an artist. Her solo work continues to captivate audiences with its boldness and innovation, further cementing her status as one of the best female performers in the industry. CL's ability to command the stage, coupled with her unique style and fearless attitude, makes her a true icon and a leading figure in the global music scene. She's my favorite member.

(On a side note, people usually say 2NE1 is a 2nd gen counterpart to Blackpink, but honestly I believe (G)-IDLE is very similar to 2NE1 in style, messages and fashion.)
