2008 and computers

the reason i like older versions for computers? running programs.

i like how it looks. there's a simplicity to it that's not convoluted into a single fucking thing, unlike its contemporary versions. it's all subscription apps lately -- say, Steam.

i liked it before. played multiple games without even getting bored, but still managing to have a healthy relationship when it comes to screentime. games like fish frenzy, mystery manor, etc. t'was an era. i missed encarta too! had the discs to run it, and it's basically wikipedia but cooler. retro times, fun times.

and running random programs from code i write on notepad? the satisfaction is incomparable when it actually works out the way i wanted it to be.

modernization isn't always so convenient i guess. but oh WELL.
