- the fediverse: you may have heard this place referred to as simply mastodon, but it's really nice! it has a very community-y feel and is fun to hang out in most of the time. it has a bit of a learning curve, but i think it's worth it and is where i spend the most time (sadly, it doesnt have the full profile customization like here; but it's better than similar platforms). i would recommend my instance, https://joeydrew.studio but i'm biased :p
- searching around the internet for forums of some of your interests: this one might only be fun if you enjoy internet archeology, but looking for (perhaps old) internet forums and reading posts of people from decades ago is fun to me at least
- (going back to) tumblr: yessss it still sucks. but, at least, there aren't gore accts there

i mean, good luck spreading your group i guess? i don't think you're going to be doing too much without access to any mod tools past user reports (which already happen independently of coordination), you're still dependent on mods not passing out every 5 seconds. if anything this feels like building infrastructure for targeting normal people the leaders don't like at times the way it's being coordinated (we've seen groups like this go down this route before, it's not an empty concern)

u could mention revolt, I don't rly use it anymore but it's basically open source discord it's kinda cool
