Death Stranding review

Okay so a quick review for a game called Death Stranding. It's based around a delivery person called Sam Porter Bridges, who delivers packages to companies amidst an apocalyptic America. Now when I say apocalyptic America, it's a really interesting take on that, very different. It doesn't look quite American, but more accurately, rural looking, with crazy detail on the foresty, mossy, mountainous landscape. The apocalypse was caused by this event called the death stranding, where these creatures washed up, BT's, and would start appearing to people in dangerous situations. They're pretty threatening looking. you also carry around a baby with you, but it's a baby with some intuitive powers that alert you of the presence of BT's.

It's a little bit of a micro-management game, but I have to say to Kojima that it's super realistic and gorgeous. Personally not a game for me, but as I played there were so many little things about it that I love. Really a new take on an apolcalyptic scenario imo. The main character is played by Norman Reedus who you prolly know as Daryl from TWD, and one of the main villains is played by Mads Mikkelsen, so as a Hannibal fan I loved that too <3

Overall, a game for patient people (40 hours, guys, 40 hours) who love attention to realism and detail in gaming, people who love games that consider all the little things, alongside the gameplay every game has. It takes work for developers to be so excruciating with detail. It's quite a green game, with your outposts being places full of modern technology, to remind you it's the future, an interesting contrast between urbanism and ruralism.
