                            THE ART OF GETTING UP

Before a winner achieved excellence in the eyes of many

Before goals were accomplished by a champion

Before the sense of relief that came from crossing the finish line

There was a choice to get up after a fall

A decision to keep going even after failure

Before the view looked good after making it to the top

A loser got up and took a stand to become a winner

Before one was a champion was one knocked out of place

Who also was one who chose to get back in the race

There was a choice to get up after a fall

A decision to keep going even after failure

Hard work came before greatness

Sweat and tears before a smile

Failed attempts preceded excellence

Choose to keep going even after failure

Learn the art of getting up after a fall

Achieve excellence in the eyes of many

Accomplish goals like a champion

Feel relief when crossing the finish line

And see how good the view looks when you make it to the top
